Nike, Inc. is a main sports apparel and goods retailer based in the U.S. Its main offices are near Beaverton, Oregon, in Portland’s metropolitan area. GAZPROM (RUSSIA)

Gazprom is the biggest natural gas extractor in the world and Russia’s biggest company. It was created in 1989 when Soviet Union’s Ministry of Gas Industry became a corporation, keeping all its assets intact. The company was privatized afterwards, but Russian government is currently having participation on its control.
In 2008, the company produced 549.7 billion cubic meters of natural gas, which represents 17% of the world’s gas production. Plus, the company produced 32 million tons of oil and 190,9 million tons of condensed gas. Gazprom activities represented 10% of Russia’s GDP in 2008.

British Petroleum is a worldwide oil and gas company based in London, England. It’s the third biggest energetic company, the fourth biggest company in the world and one of the six oil and gas companies in the world.
It is active in all areas of oil and gas industry, including exploration, production, refining, distribution and commercialization, petrochemical, and energy generation. It also participates in important renewable energy sources such as bio-combustibles, hydrogen, and solar and wind power.
BP operates in over 80 countries, produces around 3.8 million oil barrels per day and runs 22.400 service stations all over the world. Its main division is BP America, which is the biggest oil and gas provider in the U.S. and is based in Houston, Texas. By December 31st 2010 there was a total oil reserve which equals 18 billion barrels.

Google, Inc. is a multinational public corporation based in the U.S. dedicated to Internet browsing, cloud computing and online advertising products and services. Google hosts and develops a wide range of products and services based on the Internet, with its main earnings received through their AdWords program. The company was funded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, often called “the Google Guys”, while they both attended Stanford College when applying to a doctorate. It became a private company on September 4th 1998 and its public offering was on August 19th 2004. Since then, Larry Page, Sergey Brin and Eric Schmidt agreed on working together at Google for 20 years, until 2024. The company’s mission since its early days was “to organize worldwide information and to make it universally accessible and useful”. In 2006, the company moved to its current headquarters in Mountain View, California.

LUKOIL (RUSSIA)

Lukoil is Russia's second largest oil company and its second largest producer of oil. In 2009, the company produced 97.615 million tons of oil (1.972 million barrels per day).
Based in Moscow, Lukoil is the second largest public company (next to ExxonMobil) in terms of proven oil and gas reserves. In 2008, the company had 19.3 billion barrels of oil equivalent per SPE standards. This represents somewhere around 1.3% of global oil reserves. The company has operations in more than 40 countries around the world.
